Building The YEZ while building the youth.
When we made the decision to create The Youth Empowerment Zone, one of the requirements was to get the youth and people of the community involved with the process. We succeeded in doing so, and will continue to do so. Actively involving youth to build various things throughout the space, having several members of the team and community contribute to paint, getting insight of some of the “seniors” from the community; we made sure to get the community involved.
